We understand that seeking mental health care can come with many questions, so we've compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions to help guide you through our services and what to expect at Young Minds Psychiatry.

  • Do I need a referral?
    No, typically you do not need a referral for mental health and psychiatric services.
  • Do you diagnose Autism?
    We do treat those on the spectrum of Autism with coexisting mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns. However, we do not diagnose Autism. Proper diagnosis for Autism requires an extensive neuropsychological evaluation. You should consult your pediatrician for a neuropsych evaluation.
  • Do you accept out of pocket?
    Initial evaluation is 60 minutes and costs $410. Follow up visits are between 20 and 30 minutes and cost $180.
  • What services do you offer?
    Megan offers diagnostic psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children, adolescents, and young adults. Typically, Megan sees individuals 26 years old and younger, but there is wiggle room on this, so please reach out if you are interested.
  • What ages and populations do you see?
    Typically, Megan cares for those ages 6-years-old into the mid 30's. However, there may be some wiggle room on either end, so please contact us if you or your child are outside of this age range and are interested in seeing Megan.
  • Do you treat ADHD?
    Yes, we diagnose and treat ADHD.
  • What insurances do you accept?
    Currently, we are accepting Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield and Pacific Source Oregon. We are working to accept more insurance carries, please check back for updates.
  • How often will I see you?
    Every person and situation are different. Some individuals are seen monthly, some every few months. If on a controlled substance, follow up is typically monthly.
